First upload here on this platform, decided to start with an original character rather than one of the many commissions I've done.

Small bit of irony, though, that the first personal drawing I make in a long ass time is a furry character. Me, who used to draw so many space ships and aliens. XD Buuut this character is part of a roleplay I'm doing and the scribble I've made of this character nearly 2 years ago is ratheeeeeerrrr..... dated.

Anyway, meet Kari, a character that belongs to me but comes from the fantasy world of Askan Askan. She is a Varg female and comes from a hunter village far up in the frigid, dangerous and wild north lands. It is customary for all members of the village to be trained in hunting, foraging and survival in the harsh and dangerous conditions of the north from the moment a child can walk, and so it has been with Kari as well. You're either at peak condition or you'll just end up being clawed open by a sabercat or a quick meal for a ravager. Her skill set includes archery, spear fighting, stealth, tracking, skinning and tanning, butchering, herbalism and survival. She also carries a short sword, which is a gift from the village's blacksmith when she was deemed "mature", but she was never really trained to use it.

Kari is a bit of a dreamer; her head was always filled with the legends of old and what the ancient heroes did in the many before times. So it didn't help at all when a traveler came to visit her village one day. The village, being so far up north, almost never receives guests that aren't from other, nearby villages, so this traveler was quite the curiosity. But not only did this man come from far away, but he had so many exotic stories to tell from his journey through the world, stories that Kari drank up like ambrosia. Her imagination went wild! Much to her dismay, though, her family had other plans. When Kari was deemed "mature" (the age in Varg culture when they can get a mate and basically considered the right age for sex), her father planned her give her to someone. Kari didn't bother finding out who or why, but it was considered for the betterment of the village. Kari didn't care. That very night she took her things, opting to travel light, and stole off into the night. With a head filled with adventures and stories from beyond her lands, she set out to explore the world by herself!
